Functional capabilities for CID include foe identification (including platform type, class, nationality,
allegiance, and intent information), friend identification, neutral identification, and interoperability.
Pilgrim Technology LLC is engaged with firms producing end devices that support the mission of Multi-Mode Combat ID.
Pilgrim Technology is working toward solutions that produce significant materials advancement and warrant investigation
in applicability within the CID approach and technology spectrum. These technologies include thin, flexible displays
with radio or tracking devices embedded as a component to the technology and thermoplastic composites that provide the
coating materials necessary in this CID application.

Ultra-thin, flexible electronic displays can be used for a range of applications, from mobile devices, to auxiliary displays,
to textile mounted applications. Potential military applications include a lightweight, flexible, wearable two way communication
device for content delivery to support logistics, enemy tracking, and troop movement for soldiers in forward areas. Such a device
could tie into existing Army programs such as Blue Force Tracker and work within a CID environment as described within the functional
requirements of the CID.

The technology being developed through partnership represents significant advancement in materials, composites and thermo electro
chromic inks. Pilgrim Technology LLC partners with firms to provide the materials and components necessary to advance
the research and development within a CID system. Pilgrim Technology LLC specializes in secure wireless communications
technology providing the ability of the CID to communicate the necessary data within friend or foe applications. Within
the commercial market sector Pilgrim Technology LLC regularly consults with Police and Fire Departments on progress toward
a commercialization of product. The product produced from this effort could likely be used in both departments. Local
fire departments to Pilgrim Technology LLC have reported the necessity to identify personnel on scene in events such as
Anthrax deployment or crime scene investigation.
