Pilgrim Technology was the recipient of the Emerging Business Award of the Midland Area Chamber of Commerce
in January of 2006. The award recognized significant growth over the past three years and excellence in business
practices. In December of 2007 the company was awarded the "Michigan Diversification in Business" award in the area of Homeland Defense for work the company is doing for the US Department of Defense.

With continued growth throughout the year, Pilgrim Technology was again recognized with the
Expansion Award from Midland Tomorrow. Pilgrim Technology was recognized for expansion in a tough
business climate. Pilgrim Technology is a woman-owned small business and demonstrated that this
region has the intellectual capacity vested in its highly educated and skilled workforce to be a
hub for electronic technology development. The award was accompanied by proclamations from
Congressman Dave Camp, State Senator Tony Stamas, State Representative John Moolenaar, and State
Representative Bill Caul.

Pilgrim Technology was presented with the “Best Small Business” award for Michigan Region 5, by the State of
Michigan and the MI-SBTDC in 2006 as the 2005 "Best Small Business".. This award is given to companies that demonstrate growth, expansion and community
support. Pilgrim Technology continues to grow and expand services to the region from which this award was given.
Jill Pilgrim, CEO of Pilgrim Technology, was presented with Interlude Magazine’s first Ruby Award, recognizing
the areas brightest and best professionals. Nominees were judged on professional success, community and nonprofit
involvement, and were chosen as professionals doing their part in leading the Tri-Cities into a new era.
In March 2006, the company was awarded a Federal Supply Services (FSS) General Services Administration (GSA) contract, allowing the company to work directly with government agencies to provide products and services, which is available on the government’s web based ordering site, GSA Advantage. This is a significant step for the company in increasing business with and simplifying procedures for current government customers.

The company’s lead research engineer Jim Pilgrim, is working to perfect projects that increase the safety and
security of US troops. Pilgrim Technology’s Secure Wireless Sensor Interface was demonstrated as a component of
the US Army TACOM National Automotive Center at the SAE Automotive World Congress 2006 in Detroit.
Dave Leval, NBC-25, on a recent visit to Pilgrim Technology commented, "Pilgrim Technology is playing big role in helping our troops in the war on terror".
Pilgrim was named one of the “50 Top Companies to Watch” in 2006. This award is from the Edward Lowe Foundation
which was part of the Michigan Celebrates Small Business, an entrepreneurial event, which the Small Business
Association of Michigan sponsors. This award validates the company’s business model and proves there is a
sustainable business climate in Michigan.
